In an interview with TV Guide, General Hospital star Kirsten Storms discusses her character Maxie's sudden change from good girl to beeyatch.

"It's a huge change, but I feel like I slipped into being evil a little too easily," she says.  After all those years of having to be really sweet and cry in every episode, I think I had repressed anger that I was ready to get out!"

She added "I definitely am glad they're doing this with me, so I didn't end up with yet another role where I'm playing the same type of [good girl] character. I think that over the next few months, Maxie will find a few ways to redeem herself. I hear from the audience that they love to hate me. That's good. I'd rather they love to hate me than hate me, hate me! I try to make what I do as likeable as possible."
