i love Drucilla she's my favorite character why does she have to leave

I Love Victoria Rowell as Drucilla winters.  She has been a great power ball of energy and sophisticated elegance.  I hate what her character has become.  I often wondered why she had to compromise her charater's strength to become weak and paranoid.  And why is it that her character has to be unloving and aggressive?  I will miss her very much, but I am glad that she may be leaving because she does not like the direction of her character.  I pray they don't allow her to leave in a negative way.  Which would be her character being a murderer who allowed her "son" to be charged for the crime that she knew he didn't commit.  Victoria is an outstanding acterss and does not deserve to be outed for having standards.

I love Y N R so much because of Drucilla.  I watch it every day.  Victoria Rowell is such a wonderful person on and off the set.  Having met her in person I know this to be true.  If she truly is leaving Y N R, I'm sure it is for a very good reason.  She does so much for everyone else, I hope she will take some time for herself and her family.  I will miss you "Dru".

I don't know what to say.  Dru is such a major force on the soap I can't picture it without her.  She'll be missed.  It is my hope she is just taking a break and she'll be back.  Victoria Rowell is one if not one of the best actress in daytime.

I very much would like for Victoria Rowell to remain on the show; it will not be the same without her talented acting i.e. friendly personality, energy, beauty and awesomeness.

It would be great to someday actually meet Ms. Rowell.  Who knows?   Maybe one day by some miracle,  I will have a chance to meet this talented individual.  Perhaps she can provide some leads on how to get into the acting gig (smile).

My goodness!! I remember when  she came to Y&R.  She is such a strong actress, I love this role for her.  She is a true actress and very believable.  The scenes with Davetta sherwood (lily) & Victoria Rowell were so realistic it brought shivers to my spine, the  acting was so good something Christel Khalil could never  ever do.  Victoria Rowell will surely be missed.  I hope this is  not true, and just a rumor.  I may stop watching it  myself.

She is an extremely melodramatic actress and I think the show will be much better off without her on it. She annoys me and I usually fast forward over most scenes she is in.  Cmon people you know she is an AWFUL actress, be honest with yourself

The character of Drucella as I see it is very fictious as to what happens in the real Corporate world.  Kudoos to Victoria that she asked to get out.  Just goes to show you how truly smart she is................not to go for the shift in her character - from that of a strong black woman to a whimpy whatever wannabe.

How tragic---What a loss for Y&R.   There is no replacement for Dru. It was hard enough when she left for Diagnosis Murder---Hopefully all will reconsider. By the way this Lily is horrrible!!

I love Victoria Rowell as Dru on Y&R.  I truly hope that she is not leaving the show.  Y&R seems to always get rid of the black characters.  They just seem to go away, never to be heard of again.  Remember Olivia and Lil Nate?  Dru adds some life to the show and is somewhat real while the others are so very unreal.  I don't like the way in which she is leaving if it is so.  Why does she have to be crazy and committed to a mental hospital?  Hopefully, she is just taking a break and will be back.

Y&R's writers have sunk to a new low with the Dru story line.  The "crazy" clothes, "crazy" behavior.  She's supposed to be a high level executive and she can't even speak the English language properly when she goes into one of her "crazy" moments.  She's gone ghetto.  I hope they get rid of this story soon.  I fast forward through every scene that involves her.  I hate to see her go and it's unfortuate she's going out like this.

I will miss ms. rowell, playing drucilla I have truly enjoyed her character. Do you know if they will have someone else playing drucilla? are maybe she is just taking a break, anyway I hope she comes out of that mental hospital before she goes.

I will miss Dru even though she isn't my favorite Y & R character.  She has been a part of the show for sooooo long.  Now, Kay Chancellor I WILL miss!

I've loved the show ever since I was in elementary. I am a third generation watcher, as well as my husband,aand now my kids are fourth generation fans.This is now going to change,I will no longer watch Y&R,other than The Price Is Right ,which is ending soon there will not be anything for me to watch.Although I did not like the previous storyline with Carmen and the way Dru was treated, I stayed faithful to Y&R,however this is too much!!!Bring Dru back as a dream,get rid of Phyllis,David Chow,Leanna Love,Amber,William Bartwell and the other dead weight,especially Emilly Stewart.I stopped watching As the World Turns long ago,so why would Iwant to watch another boring actor(actress)from a weak drowning soap on the #1 soap? Keep the strong peoplee that you have, that made this show what it is.  Victoria Rowell is great and entertaing.  

I agree with Erica...The Lily Winters that is on the show now is horrible! I liked the 2nd Lilybetter. She was more like Drucilla's character and more believable as her daughter. I was very sad to hear about Victoria Rowell leaving her role as Drucilla. I may even take this time to start watching other soap's. It just seems as though the fans are in for a long boring ride with out Drucilla to spice it up. As much as I will miss the character, Drucilla, I hope that Ms. Rowell is successful in all of her future endeavors. Your fans wish you much love Victoria!

I hadn't heard earlier that Dru was leaving the only soap I watch, Y & R.  

I gasped when I saw Dru and Sharon go over the ledge and into the raging river.  I had a good friend lose her life by accidently going into a raging river and drowning a few years ago.  So this brought horrible memories for me.

I hope we see Victoria in some good roles, in movies real soon.  I will miss her great acting.  I loved her dancing years back.  It is obvious she is a very talented lady.

I'm sorry to see  Victoria Rowell go.   She is a survivor and a lovely person.   Of the two going over the cliff, it should have been Sharon Case's character.   She'll live another day to sleep with someone elses husband.  What a shame!

The only reason that i watched the Young and the Restless is the to see Victoria Rowell (Dru). I dId not like what her character had turned into, with thw Carmen story. Anyways i do hope to see her one day back on the show sometime. I do wish her all the best in her future endeavour. You will be missed by many who watch the Y & R.

My opinion is that Victoria Rowell is a great actress and I will miss her. I have watched her from the beginning and the Y&R will not be the same without her. Please do what you can to get her back. More money always works for me...lol...seriously. She will be missed by all.

Can't believe she is leaving.  The show will not be the same. I probably won't watch as much. I look forward to her return some day.  

Although she's been around forever and I feel a bit sad she's going, the character of Dru is so angry and I find her exhausting. I know she's a charitable and giving woman but her acting is a bit over the top. I suppose at times she's believable but not when the scenes call for "big tears." There, she falls short.  Regardless, due to the fact that I remember her from the start, I will be saddened by her departure.

I have watched Dru since she first aired on Young and the Restless. Dru I will miss that "sassy flair" you added to the show. I hope they have a replacement for her character. I don't want her to be dead. Good luck in all your endeavors.

I was too sadden when I heard that Dru was leaving Y&R.  I have watched the show  since forever and is true that Dru had a special spend to her parts in the show and also brought a lot to the show. I think it was mistake to let her go!  BUT I DO WISH HER ALL THE BEST IN HER LIFE!!!!

Hey---it's so nice to read all the wonderful things you have all said about Dru!!!  That is truly representative of the dynamic personality of Victoria Rowell.  She is one of a kind and has left a lasting impression on so many of us.  Y & R will never be the same without her, bottom-line.  While its the top soap without question, Dru added that fire and appeal like no other actress could come close to.  Anyways, now its time for Victoria to move on and do her 'thang'.  We know she is capable and will express her talents in various ways.  Stay true to yourself  Victoria and never lose that captivating smile and warmth you convey always.

In the past Victoria Rowell (the character that played Drusilla Winters) was a spunky strong Black woman.  The character worked her way up from a troubled teenager to a business woman who loved her husband.  It was a perfect example of a supportive family that went threw several problems but always landed on their feet. In the past year the Y&R changed the character to a mentally unstable person who had violent mood swings. The writers of the Y&R seemed to have gone overboard to make her character look like a bumbling idiot.  Even the way she died was viewed by the audience as an unfortunate accident, as though it was her fault that she went over the cliff.   Now Neil Winters has gone back to drinking and Lily’s husband is addicted to porno. This strong supportive family has become a weak dysfunctional family.  Some may say that this is just a show to entertain you; however for many, it touches and changes lives because the characters are a representation of how people handle real-life situations. In my opinion it seems that the CBS network has a responsible to its audience to provide high quality entertainment rather than three dysfunctional families making immorality seem like the right choice. Well, I’m taking a stand as to what is entertainment and what is ***.

TAKING A STAND!

Dru was my girl on Y&R! I still tune in because I'm addicted, but it's not the same. And now Nick is presumed dead. Victoria Rowell deserved a much better exit, not to be subjected to a victim in Phyllis and Sharon's rivalry. Dru would never have let herself fall from a cliff. This show better give her a hell of a story during the inevitable 'back from the dead" storyline when Drucilla returns to Genoa City.

I love Young and the Restless and I watch it everyday I just can't believe Dru is gone =( . She will be overly missed as her role was played the best. I love Dru and I am hoping she will come back on the show as the FBI never found her body in the show. As well now Nicholas is gone. He will also be missed as the handsome character... no one could ever take these characters' places. I can't believe these two greatest actors are gone Young and the Restless will NEVER be the same. I just hope Dru comes back because Nick is dead =(.

Victoria Rowell's (Drucilla Winters) character on the Y&R is one that I have always felt finally an African American who is portrayed in a positive way.  I was extremely upset when I learned she would no longer be returning to the show.  I think Dru is what gave this soap such high ratings because there are few if any African Americans  on other soaps who has her since of style, elegance, sophistocation, and overall talent.  I feel that when there needs to be a cut on these soaps the Aferican American goes first.  I feel there are others who the show can do without.  All the new people introduced to the show are all Cacasians.  I feel more African American should be given a chance. I am tired of the same stereotype given oportunity over other talented African Americans.
