Following the summer series InTurn, where aspiring actors competed for a role on As the World Turns, CBS will introduce a new internet series tied to daytime. The series will feature YR (and BB)'s Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz) and the ATWT's new Alison (Marnie Schulenburg).   L.A. Diaries will fill in the back story of what Alison has ...

  • Alison Stewart returning to Oakdale (As the World Turns)

According to the CBS daytime website, the role of Alison Stewart has been recast. Daytime newcomer Marnie Schulenburg (though the news incorrectly has Schulenberg) will fill the role previously played by Jessica Dunphy. Alison will first appear on this Thursday's Young and the Restless as part of Amber's story. Look for her to appear in Oakdale ...

  • Austin Peck as the new Brad (As the World Turns)

I was giving it a few weeks before commenting on the new Brad.  The old Brad was always smarmy and Austin Peck has captured that.  However, Austin Peck is playing Brad as if he were dropped on his head as a child (read: goofy and dumb).  This in no way means that I am not enjoying the return of Brad and his storylines with both ...

  • OMG! Maddie kills Adam (As the World Turns)

I've not been much of a fan of this version of Adam.  And, my opinion of him went downhill earlier this week as he tried to force himself on his brother's wife, Gwen.   But, the shocker was that Maddie (who was recently revealed as raped by her brother-in-law) came upon the scene and gave Adam the deadly conk on the ...

  • New Dallas on ATWT (As the World Turns)

The role of Dallas Griffin has been recast.  Beginning February 26, the role of Jessica Griffin's newphew will be played by Kenneth Franklin.   Duane McLaughlin, who originated the role of one of Oakdale's Finest, will last air on Valentines Day, Wednesday, February 14. Not that Duane McLaughlin was ugly (far from it), but this ...

  • Adam: A Prime Example of Personality Transplant (As the World Turns)

This happens on more than just As the World Turns and is actually happening on more than one show right now.  It's the ''bring back the character as someone totally unlike the character'' syndrome.  My example of Adam Hughes/Munson.   When he left, he was this great kid.  Very likeable, but the kind of guy that was never ...

  • Emily: I'm a ho, you know I'm a ho (As the World Turns)

Was I the only one laughing when Emily's one minute stand (one night stand would be giving it too much substance) left her cash on the night table?    I hope Emily doesn't get outraged over this, after all she met the man in the hotel bar and was going to his room not even 3 minutes later.  At that point, they hadn't even ...
